Business messaging integrations
I develop software that can connect a business's own WhatsApp Business account to its internal workflows, when that business has authorised the connection through Meta's supported onboarding process.
For example, a business may use an approved message template to send a transactional communication such as an invoice to its own customer. The business remains responsible for its customer relationships, the messages it chooses to send and obtaining any required permissions or consent.
Where needed to provide the integration, the software may process business account identifiers, phone numbers, message/template content and message delivery statuses. These data are used to provide and troubleshoot the requested messaging service, not to sell customer data or use it for advertising.
Privacy and data handling
Information is processed only as needed to provide the software development or integration service requested by a customer. For WhatsApp integrations, this may include account and phone-number identifiers, message content submitted for delivery, template information and delivery/status events.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring that they have the rights, notices and permissions required to submit their data and contact their recipients. Data is not sold, and WhatsApp integration data is not used for advertising.
Access to data should be limited to people and systems that need it to operate, support or secure the service. Data is retained only for the period needed to provide the service, meet applicable obligations or resolve operational issues, and is deleted when no longer required, subject to applicable legal requirements.
